Lucia is the Canadian Managing Partner, Tax and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), KPMG Law LLP. She oversees KPMG's National Tax and Law practices along with having primary responsibility for public trust, clients, market growth, people development and operations of tax and law.
Prior to her current role Lucia served as KPMG’s Tax and Law Business Unit Leader for the GTA since 2016, and prior to that led the firm’s financial services tax practice. Lucia brings more than 30 years of insurance industry experience in tax planning, corporate reorganization, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as significant knowledge of tax dispute resolution.
Lucia has shared her extensive knowledge at a number of speaking engagements for various insurance industry conferences, including the annual conference of the Canadian Insurance Accountants Association; the Canadian Life & Health Insurance Association; the CRA Insurance Forum and KPMG’s annual Insurance Issues Seminar. She has also co-authored and lectured at The Life Insurance Institute of Canada’s KPMG course on insurance taxation as well as KPMG’s Insurance in Canada.
