John Israel Galambos is a Family Office Leader for the Québec region, partner with KPMG LLP and lawyer. John’s main areas of practice include corporate and individual taxation and tax planning, estate planning, wills, trusts, corporate reorganizations, and asset protection. During his career, he has also developed deep knowledge in governance issues, particularly in the context of business succession.
John is known for finding creative solutions in difficult situations between shareholders, business partners or heirs. His calm demeanour has led him to successfully mediate multimillion-dollar estate disputes among heirs and business disputes arising out of family enterprise divestitures.
John serves as legal counsel to a number of charities and non-profit organizations and is a tax advisor to a number of professional firms.
