Doris Foo

With over 25 years of corporate income tax and tax accounting experience, Doris is a Partner at KPMG in Canada’s Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Tax and Financial Services practice. Doris focusses on delivering tax compliance and consulting services mainly to the financial services industry clients, including domestic and multinational companies. She has extensive experience in numerous planning and reorganization transactions in the Canadian financial services industry such as tax restructuring, loss utilization, acquisitions divestures, managing relations with CRA, tax governance and compliance.

Doris also has experience in assisting in several Canadian financial institutions including large multinational life insurer with IFRS tax conversion projects including providing internal and external seminars on the topic as well as assisting with the development of tools and templates to be used in the tax conversion process. She provides annual tax compliance services including the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision as well as tax returns. Doris has also assisted clients in submissions to tax authorities and resolve disputes including settlement negotiations.
