Paul Ciapanna

Paul is a Partner in KPMG’s Hamilton, Ontario office in the assurance practice. He has been with KPMG for over thirteen years providing financial statement audit services and accounting advisory for a wide client base in the public, private and not for profit sector. He has a significant amount of experience in many industry segments including manufacturing, hospitality, construction and real estate, municipal and not-for-profit with reporting frameworks under ASPE, IFRS, NPO and PSAB. Paul is responsible for the coordination, quality assurance and completion of the audit. Paul is part of our National Building, Construction and Real Estate team and is the BCRE lead partner for Hamilton, Niagara, and Halton.

Paul is valued by his clients for his collaborative approach and responsiveness to provide assistance in navigating accounting technical matters. He understands the competing priorities his clients face and supports them in prioritizing those needs all while delivering on the needs and meeting timelines.

Outside of client work he is also a facilitator for the National office, teaching Audit foundation levels I and II and leads the offices social committee. He is heavily involved in the community, serving on several local boards. He was recently awarded the 40 Under Forty Business Achievement Award in 2022.
