Her expertise extends to various strategic, global risk advisory engagements across diverse industries, such as real estate, retail, and financial services. Driven by a passion for governance, risk, and compliance, she is dedicated to helping clients understand the value of a strong internal control framework and its role in achieving their strategic goals.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Melissa is committed to mentoring young women through programs like the Young Women in Business (YWiB) at UBC, guiding them to achieve their aspirations. Additionally, as the President of the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Vancouver Chapter, she promotes the critical role that internal auditing plays in driving organizational success by utilizing a systematic and disciplined approach to assess and strengthen governance, risk management, and control processes.
