Virginie Bernier

Virginie is a Senior Manager in the Technology Risk Management, Privacy and Cybersecurity teams at KPMG in Canada for our Québec City Office.

She provides both strategic and operational advice on privacy program design and implementation and conducts privacy risk assessments involving technology issues and data flow analysis. She is regularly involved in implementing privacy programs to strengthen privacy, information security, or IT risk management as a result of compliance order and in the context of digital transformation. She provides pragmatic privacy advice for integration of technology solutions and due diligence audits. 

She also assists clients with the review of privacy, information security, and IT risk management practices. She is involved in compliance and vendors risk management projects, information asset inventories, digital transformation, outsourcing or integration of technology solutions, due diligence, drafting corporate policies on privacy, electronic communication, information security and security incident management involving privacy breaches.

Virginie has practiced Corporate, transactional and business law. During her career, she has managed several transformation projects within corporate governance,  sales and manufacturing. She has also acted as a crown prosecutor in Montreal.
