Mario is a Partner in the Toronto office of the Advisory, Canada’s Technology Risk Services practice. Mario has over 25 years of experience in IT audit and risk management.
Mario has led or served in a quality control capacity on numerous controls assurance engagements (SOC 1, 2, or 3, [SSAE 18, CSAE 3416], CSAE 3000, and Agreed Upon Procedures), across various industry sectors including financial services, high tech, telecom, logistics providers, automotive, manufacturing, retail, pension fund administrators, utilities, and payroll processors to name a few. Mario is a senior, experienced information risk professional with significant experience assisting large, complex organizations in assessing and managing their risks over their business processes and supporting IT environments, including processes that have been outsourced to third parties. He leads KPMG’s Technology Risk Services group in Toronto and is the National Leader of the Information Risk Management in External Audit practice. Mario currently serves as lead IT auditor on some of KPMG’s largest and most complex audit clients, including a major Canadian bank and a national cable and wireless provider
