Christine Dimitrov is a senior associate at KPMG Law LLP in the Estates and Trusts group and serves as an estates and trusts lawyer with KPMG Family Office. She advises individuals, families, and business owners on estate and succession planning matters across British Columbia and Alberta, with a focus on wealth preservation, business succession, and estate administration.

Christine’s practice spans a broad range of private client matters, including succession planning for family‑owned businesses, incapacity planning, philanthropy, multigenerational wealth transitions, and cross‑border estate planning. She regularly supports high‑net‑worth individuals and family enterprises on complex, multijurisdictional wealth and succession matters, working closely with clients to address legal considerations that arise as wealth and ownership transition over time.

A core part of Christine’s practice involves drafting and implementing comprehensive estate plans. This includes wills, multiple and multijurisdictional wills, inter vivos and testamentary trusts, and related wealth transfer structures. She also advises on the practical implementation of these plans to ensure they operate as intended.

In addition, Christine has experience in estate and trust administration, guiding executors, trustees, and beneficiaries through probate and related estate administration processes. Her practice also includes estate litigation matters, such as family maintenance and support claims, contested trusteeship applications, will challenges, and disputes involving powers of attorney and joint accounts.

Christine brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her estate planning practice, drawing on experience in corporate law, family law, real estate, and civil litigation. She has practiced at both international and regional law firms and has gained legal experience in Canada, the United Kingdom, and Sweden. Christine also has prior entrepreneurial experience, providing her with practical insight into the legal and business considerations facing founders and enterprises. She regularly authors articles and presents on estate and succession planning topics. Complementing her practice, her prior board experience also brings practical insight into governance and decision-making.
