Creating value with AI remains a challenge
VoFor most organizations, AI is no longer a futuristic concept, but a strategic necessity. Although the potential of AI is undeniable, many organizations still struggle to move beyond initial use cases and pilots to realize scalable value. The journey is complex, and the challenges are very diverse: from data availability and technical implementation to workable governance, ethics, and ensuring that employees feel comfortable working with AI.
The public sector is no exception. Recent research shows that:
- 79% of government officials believe that AI can improve the efficiency of their activities1
- 39% of government officials state that their employees have the necessary skills to embrace emerging technologies, indicating a skills gap in the workforce2
- By 2028, 15% of daily work decisions will be made autonomously via agentic AI, compared to 0% in 20243
