KPMG’s Public Sector team is pleased to invite you to a new Café Public on Thursday, 25 June 2026, taking place at Vlerick Business School, Brussels.
In today’s turbulent climate, characterized by changing regulations, digital acceleration, geopolitical uncertainty, and rising stakeholder expectations, risk management is becoming a top priority for public and semi-public organizations. Yet the question remains: how mature are existing approaches, and what is still holding organizations back today?
During this session, we will present insights from KPMG’s 2025 Belgian cross-industry risk management survey, with a specific focus on the results from (semi-)public organizations.
We will discuss:
- Differences in maturity: from basic frameworks to deeply embedded risk practices
- The main barriers to progress: resources, culture, and limited digitalization
- The technology and data gap: technology and data to support the risk function
- Collaboration and governance: what high-maturity organizations do differently
After sharing the results, we will hold a panel discussion with risk management leaders from public and semi-public organizations, during which the panelists will share concrete approaches and challenges related to risk management, followed by an interactive Q&A with the audience.
