At KPMG, giving back is an essential aspect of life and an integral part of our values, culture, and Impact Plan. Through the KPMG Foundation, we want to give our people the opportunity and time to make a real difference in the community and for charities they care about. By giving every person the opportunity to submit a volunteer project, we aim to motivate everyone to get actively involved and make an impact.

KPMG Foundation Project

Tongelsbos is a school in Belgium dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, providing specialized education and guidance for over 60 years. Tongelsbos stands out as a nurturing environment where students with special needs are empowered to fully develop their potential.

The school focuses on helping students grow into confident individuals capable of integrating into society and building fulfilling futures, all while addressing their unique circumstances. Many of the young people at Tongelsbos face significant challenges, including living in poverty, which makes the institution’s work even more vital.

To maintain these essential services, the restoration of one of the school’s key buildings is crucial. This project not only revitalizes the infrastructure but also actively involves the students, providing them with valuable experiences that contribute to their personal development.

To help raise the necessary funds for this restoration, Tongelsbos has organized a series of events, including a special fundraising concert as part of its "60 years of Tongelsbos" program.

Making an impact

Volunteering project Autumn 2025

On Saturday, 27 September 2025, KPMG volunteers once again came together to support the Tongelsbos initiative. This year’s event was a fundraising dinner organized to raise funds for the school, bringing together supporters and community members for an evening of generosity and connection.

KPMG Foundation volunteers contributed to the success of the event by:

Preparing and cleaning the entrance and aperitif area
Welcoming guests
Refilling aperitif bottles and serving drinks
Guiding guests throughout the venue

Volunteering project Autumn 2024

On Saturday, 23 November 2024, as part of the "60 years of Tongelsbos" celebration, KPMG volunteers came together to support this meaningful initiative. The highlight of the event series was a concert, which successfully gathered the community and raised the remaining funds needed for the restoration.

KPMG Foundation volunteers played a crucial role in the event by:

Welcoming guests and ensuring a warm atmosphere
Managing logistical tasks, including seating arrangements and ticket distribution
Assisting with with the dismantling of equipment and ensuring the venue is cleaned after the concert
Staying at the bar and serving drinks to guests

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers who continue to seize opportunities to make a real difference. By working #Together, we achieve so much more, building stronger connections and supporting our community in meaningful ways.
