KPMG Foundation Project
Ferm’ Eline is one of the volunteering projects under the KPMG Foundation, selected by our people. Founded in memory of Eline Moeremans, the non-profit is an inclusive, warm, safe, and accessible place for vulnerable youth or young adults, helping them find healing and peace in the nature of the Ardennes and close to animals. It is a place where young people from psychiatry and special youth care can recharge and develop together with the people who are important to them.
Eline is remembered by her loved ones as the sweetest twin sister, daughter, and a true friend, who a playful do-gooder with strong ideology. Eline lived intensely and purely, loved hard and was loved, and she excelled in everything. Eline gave everyone a chance, and especially those who were most vulnerable. After losing her in 2019, her mother and people close to her decided to honor her legacy and carry on Eline’s biggest passion for caring with Ferm’ Eline.
The main mission of Ferm’ Eline is to bring attention to the mental well-being and protection of vulnerable young people and young adults and to break any taboo around it. At the same time, the Ferm' wants to offer caregivers, adolescents, and young adults a place to facilitate innovative trajectories and alternative therapies alongside traditional health care and youth care.
