KPMG Foundation Project
Founded in 2016 by Savina de Laveleye, Equi-Libres is a unique center dedicated to equi-therapy and reconnection with nature, offering both leisure and therapeutic activities involving horses and ponies.
Known as equi-therapy, these activities use the presence and interaction with horses as a complement to medical support. Equi-Libres provides services to children and adults, using the bond between humans and animals to foster personal growth and emotional well-being.
At Equi-Libres, activities are designed to help participants develop sensory awareness, strengthen relational skills, and experience a sense of release. This form of therapy enables individuals to work on self-confidence, manage emotions, enhance personal leadership skills, and learn to communicate more effectively.
Through this project, the KPMG Foundation aimed to support Equi-Libres in their mission to enhance the lives of those they serve by improving the facilities to ensure a safe and welcoming space for these impactful interactions.
