KPMG Foundation Project

Community Kitchen, located in the heart of Brussels, serves as a lifeline for individuals experiencing hunger, homelessness, or vulnerability. Every week, the organization prepares and distributes thousands of nourishing meals, ensuring that those who face food insecurity can access the sustenance they need.

These meals are thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients, prioritizing nutritional value, and are distributed across the city in collaboration with various partner NGOs. This coordinated effort ensures that the meals reach the individuals and families who need them most, offering not only meals, but also dignity.

Beyond food distribution, Community Kitchen provides a safe and inclusive environment for its volunteers. For people from all walks of life, including refugees and those in precarious situations, Community Kitchen becomes more than just a place to volunteer—it is a space for personal growth, building friendships, and reclaiming a sense of purpose while making a tangible difference in their community. 

Making an impact

Volunteering project Autumn 2025

On Wednesday 3 December, our volunteers spent the morning at Community Kitchen, lending a hand with the day’s meal preparation. Their support was essential in getting everything ready and they took part in:

• Cutting vegetables for a dahl
• Stamping the meal container lids with the date
• Portioning the meals for distribution

Volunteering project Spring 2025
On Wednesday 5 June, our volunteers returned to Community Kitchen to continue supporting their mission. This time, they focused on preparing a fresh and nutritious fruit salads to accompany the meals. With great teamwork and enthusiasm, they helped with:

• Cutting and mixing fruit
• Portioning individual servings

Volunteering project Autumn 2024

On Monday 25 November, our KPMG volunteers spent a day contributing to the mission of Community Kitchen. Under the guidance of the kitchen staff, the volunteers supported a variety of tasks, including:

• Cooking
• Preparing vegetables
• Portioning meals

We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers who continue to seize opportunities to make a real difference. By working #Together, we achieve so much more, building stronger connections and supporting our communities in meaningful ways.
