At KPMG, giving back is an essential aspect of life and an integral part of our values, culture, and Impact Plan. Through the KPMG Foundation, we want to give our people the opportunity and time to make a real difference in the community and for charities they care about. By giving every person the opportunity to submit a volunteer project, we aim to motivate everyone to get actively involved and make an impact.

BruZelle, based in Brussels, plays a vital role in the fight against period poverty, working to ensure menstrual products are accessible to all who need them. The organization addresses a critical but often overlooked aspect of social inequality by supporting individuals—particularly women and girls—who lack the resources to manage their periods with dignity.

Through the distribution of free sanitary products, awareness campaigns, and educational outreach, BruZelle not only provides practical support but also works to break the taboos surrounding menstruation. Its mission is rooted in dignity, inclusion, and health, advocating for a society where no one is excluded or ashamed because of their period.

Equally important, BruZelle creates a space where volunteers and community members come together around a shared cause. Whether preparing donation kits, spreading awareness, or simply talking openly about menstruation, the organization fosters a supportive environment where care, equality, and solidarity thrive.

      Making an impact

      Volunteering project Spring 2026

On 5 March 2026, KPMG volunteers once again joined forces with BruZelle to support its mission to tackle period poverty in Brussels.

During this volunteering day, the team worked together to assemble 600 kits containing menstrual products, helping ensure that people experiencing period poverty have access to essential hygiene items.

Each kit prepared represents practical support as well as a sign of dignity and solidarity for those who need it most.

      Volunteering project Spring 2025

On Friday, 13 June 2025, KPMG volunteers joined the team at BruZelle to support their mission of fighting period poverty.

      Their contributions included:

      • Filling kits with menstrual products
      • Adding informational leaflets to the kits

The volunteers brought care, precision, and solidarity—helping ensure each kit reached someone in need with both practical support and a message of dignity. For many recipients, these kits represent more than just essential products—they’re a reminder that they are seen, supported, and not alone.

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers who continue to seize opportunities to make a real difference. By working #Together, we achieve so much more, building stronger connections and supporting our community in meaningful ways.
