KPMG Foundation Project
Accueil Botanique, located in the center of Liège, plays a crucial role in supporting individuals facing homelessness, poverty, or social exclusion. As a day center, it offers a warm, safe, and respectful environment where people in vulnerable situations can access essential services and find respite from life on the streets.
The organization provides a range of support, including hot drinks, showers, laundry facilities, social counselling, and meal distribution. Its core mission is to preserve the dignity of each individual, offering them both immediate relief and longer-term guidance. Accueil Botanique is also a vital point of contact for people who are often disconnected from traditional support systems, helping to rebuild trust and community through everyday human interactions.
Just as importantly, the center fosters inclusion, welcoming volunteers and service users alike into a space built on mutual respect and solidarity. Whether it's through sharing a meal or simply offering a listening ear, Accueil Botanique creates opportunities for connection and care.
