Requirements:
- Over 4 years of data analytics experience with a professional services firm, an internal strategy/analytics group, or similar environment with previous experience in data analytics consulting highly regarded,
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field from an accredited college or university (masters or MBA degree preferred) with knowledge of topics such as statistics, econometrics, machine learning, operations research, decision science, and cloud computing,
- Demonstrated analytics solution design and build expertise, project management skills, strong business consulting acumen in applying data analytics to solve business issues, and knowledge of business operational, process, delivery, and revenue models,
- Demonstrated ability to manage engagements and interface with senior level management internally as well as with clients and significant project management, client handling, and executive communication capabilities (e.g., interviews, workshop management, business writing),
- Sector- and/or process-specific experience in D&A, good understanding of the landscape for data science and big data opportunities; deeper understanding of sector- and/or process-specific landscape for opportunities,
- A combination of one or more of the following (proficient with programming languages like Python, R, Scala, Java, C++; skills in data engineering technologies like Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Elasticsearch; experience with databases and data storage systems such as DWH, Data Lake and PostgreSQL),
- Over 3 years of experience in building analytical reporting in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Oracle BI),
- Advanced knowledge of SQL,
- Experience applying advanced analytical techniques to large and varied data sets, generated and flowing at a rapid rate,
- Good experience working with one or more cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Azerbaijani languages, knowledge of Russian is an advantage,
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
Responsibilities:
- Leading data analytics related technology consulting projects, communication with the client’s management to manage their expectations – the projects may vary from the development of big data management and data analytics strategies and roadmaps, AI strategy, Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Technology selection and implementation – DWH, Data Platform, Data Lakehouse, MDM, BI, developing and supporting ETL processes (Python, SQL, Airflow, Informatica, etc.), building data marts, refining/developing data warehouses, integrating data sources into DWH, optimizing SQL-queries and ETL-queries, implementing data quality checks, developing predictive and advances analytics models and use cases),
- Prepare and ensure high quality project deliverables and work results with the project team;
- Organize and conduct meetings with project teams and client representatives, conduct presentations of projects to the client’s management;
- Carry out resource planning for the projects and service development activities,
- Business development in the data analytics service areas, commercial offers and conduct presentations of services to the clients, identifying potential opportunities for business development, proposing new services and team development to the Technology group management and firm’s management.
