Brendan has more than 25 years' experience in the banking, funds management and insurance sectors. He provides external and internal audit, accounting, regulatory, risk, compliance and governance services to a wide range of clients across the financial services industry.
Previously he led KPMG’s Mutuals sector where he was responsible for the production of the annual KPMG Mutuals Industry Review.
From 2015 to 2018, Brendan was on secondment in Europe, where he advised many organisations on risk, regulation and compliance issues. An area of focus was Brexit, where Brendan presented on contingency plans to financial services executives in the heart of London on the night of the Brexit vote. “This was one of the most surreal evenings and corporate presentations I have ever been involved with, particularly not knowing what was to eventuate as the votes were counted.”
Experience working in Hong Kong and the UK has provided Brendan with unique perspectives on the financial services industry.
Brendan is passionate about sport; he has played cricket and soccer competitively, and been a qualified umpire and referee for both sports. Brendan is the proud father of two children, and whilst still playing soccer competitively, he now takes most enjoyment from watching his children enjoy their sporting activities.
In July 2007, Brendan became a partner within the Audit, Assurance & Risk Consulting division.
