Matteo works as an Associate Director in the Consulting team, focusing on international Banking clients and Bank Licenses applications and holds credentials supporting Representative Offices, Foreign ADIs, Purchased Payment Facility (PPF) providers and Subsidiaries.

Matteo has more than 8 years of project delivery experience at an international level, during which he specialised in the Financial Services sector, delivering engagement with a global scale. He possesses experience in projects involving high-risk risk and regulatory changes, where project management skills and specialised expertise are applied to large and complex organisations.

Matteo has multi-jurisdictional project delivery experience in the Financial Services field, having worked for large global financial institutions across several countries such as the UK, Italy, Germany, Spain, Luxembourg and Australia and having also interacted with the respective local regulators (FCA, BaFin, CONSOB, CSSF, ESMA and APRA).

In Australia and in APAC more broadly, he specialises in supporting Restricted ADIs (RADI), Foreign Bank Representative Offices (FBRO), Foreign Branches (Foreign ADI) and Subsidiaries, having helped a number of international players to enter the Australian market, and obtain an Authorised Deposit-taking Institution (ADI) license, as well as CPS 220 reviews.

As part of the support he offers to clients, Matteo develops the business plans and the financial projections for inbound banking entities, upon entering the Australian market, as well as drafting key risk policies and business case presentations required by the regulators and has expertise on the APAC region including South Korea, Japan, China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Matteo is also active in supporting fintech clients such digital banks (RADI) and PPF providers with advisory services including licensing services.
