For more than 20 years, Kim has provided audit and assurance services to some of Australia’s most significant financial institutions. As an experienced partner in KPMG’s Financial Services practice, she combines her broad industry experience in banking, funds management and property with strong technical capabilities to deliver innovative outcomes for her clients. Kim has deep banking expertise, extensive ASX listed experience, and is an APRA-accredited auditor.
In 1997, Kim joined KPMG, and became a Partner in 2009. She was appointed to the Board of KPMG in July 2021.
Throughout her career, Kim has benefited from diverse experiences. She considers her 5 year secondment to Switzerland as a formative part of her career. “I was supporting one of the world’s largest banks through significant market disruption during the GFC. I learned so much in a concentrated period about financial markets, risk management, capital and liquidity – but more importantly, I learned how critical it is to be connected with our clients, working side-by-side as one team as they navigate change.”
Kim’s passion for connectivity and teamwork is evident in how she leads her own teams and people. She was the People, Performance & Culture partner for Sydney Financial Services and is part of KPMG’s Diversity & Inclusion network. She champions diversity by mentoring and sponsoring females and culturally diverse future leaders.
“I am a working parent and a leader of diverse teams, I see firsthand the benefits of diversity and flexibility. As a partner and a KPMG Board member, it is my commitment and responsibility to ensure that a diverse range of views and perspectives are heard and reflected in every decision we make.”
Outside of KPMG, Kim is a hands-on parent to her three children. She is a keen rower and has represented both her club and her state.
