Alia has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate and international tax, financial services tax and tax policy. She is KPMG Australia’s Tax Policy & Regulatory Engagement Lead, working within the firm’s Economics & Tax Centre.

Her areas of focus include tax transformation and technology, the OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) reforms, and she has a particular interest in tax target operating models.

In 2015, Alia was seconded to the Revenue Group in the Federal Treasury of Australia and the Board of Tax Secretariat where she worked on a variety of tax policy projects. Alia has worked in KPMG’s London and Singapore offices, and has been a partner with the firm since 2012.
