Cassandra Hogan

Partner in Charge, Operations Advisory | National Lead, Energy & Natural Resources

KPMG Australia

Cassandra’s passion for the energy industry started early in her career with her first job in the call centre of a large utility. This gave Cassandra an enormous appreciation of customer focus and grounded her in the importance of ‘rolling up your sleeves’ and delivering on commitments. What followed was 16 years in a diverse range of roles from frontline operations, strategy, merger-integration and business transformation, in a period of significant change in the energy sector.

Since joining KPMG in 2007, Cassandra has leveraged her breadth of experience in energy and natural resources to shape and guide the transformation programs of her clients. A passionate and skilled facilitator for Executive teams, Cassandra is an advocate for the self-empowerment of her clients and has become a valued adviser through her ability to help leadership teams work more productively to deliver customer value.

Her significant experience working in the utilities industry has allowed Cassandra to work with many diverse teams across multiple geographies. She cites the ability to listen as one of the most valuable skills an external adviser can possess in order to truly understand the problems her clients are facing. She has a unique capability to bring together strategic, operational and authentic leadership as she supports clients transform their business and successfully navigate the energy transition.

As National Industry Leader for Energy & Natural Resources, Cassandra brings a whole of firm perspective to problems, aware that technical solutions are only as good as their ability to be implemented. Cassandra is also a mentor to women in the energy and resources sector.

Outside of KPMG, Cassandra is a busy parent to her three sons and enjoys nothing more than watching and partaking in a range of water and land based sports with her boys, enjoying musical performances and entertaining with family and friends.
