Melissa acts for a variety of taxpayers, including domestic and multinational corporate taxpayers and high wealth individuals from a wide variety of sectors, including biotechnology, health/medical & wellbeing, energy & resources, workforce & facility management services, retail, agriculture, sports & leisure and entertainment.
Prior to advising clients in relation to their tax and tax controversy matters, Melissa advised and assisted clients to access the Research and Development Tax Incentive and prior to that she practised as a mechanical engineer in the mining and resources industry.
Melissa’s breadth of experience in industry as a scientific professional coupled with her professional services and legal training puts her in a unique position to understand the full range of commercial and legal challenges that her clients face.
Melissa is highly regarded by her clients and counsel. She leverages her strong relationships across the KPMG domestic and international network and externally, to bring relevant subject matter experts to her clients to assist them in resolving their tax disputes.
