In a nutshell, what does your business group/service line do?

We help our clients attract, motivate and retain their key employees. This includes providing advice across all areas of performance and reward and answering questions like how much should the CEO get paid, or what kind of bonus structure is right to support a company’s new strategy?

What does the average day look like?

There is no typical day as the role is varied and you will be part of a growing and dynamic team. Your role will be to support the managers and partners in delivering projects and winning new work to help grow the team. This could include:

  • undertaking research or performing data analysis ,e.g. benchmarking the quantum and structure of remuneration for executives by looking at data for comparable companies
  • attending calls, meetings and workshops with clients
  • drafting or reviewing documents e.g. remuneration reports, incentive plan term sheets and plan rules and employee communication documents
  • researching and writing tax advice on equity-based incentives
  • working on proposals for new work.

What will I learn in the first year?

You will learn key concepts of performance and reward frameworks and how to benchmark remuneration of clients against the market by finding appropriate comparators and analysing data. You will start to understand market trends and the complexities around managing different stakeholders. You will rapidly develop your communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as your analytical skills.
