Simon Tarte is a Partner and the national Practice Leader for Technology Applications and Systems Integration within KPMG's Mid-Market & Private division. With more than 30 years’ experience in technology-enabled business transformation, he helps mid-market, private, government and asset-intensive organisations modernise their digital foundations and deliver complex change with confidence.
Simon specialises in ICT and digital strategy, core systems implementation, program and project management, and solution architecture.
He has led major transformations across local and state government, power and water utilities, and financial services, with a focus on improving service delivery, reducing operational risk, and enabling scalable growth through technology.
Simon’s expertise spans application and platform modernisation, enterprise integration, data and cloud engineering, and IT sourcing. He has overseen multi-year system integration programs, corporate systems replacements, banking and financial platform upgrades, and digital experience transformations. He is also a trusted adviser on operating model design, data governance, technology roadmaps and assurance for high-risk programs.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer and Information Science) and is an Affiliate of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. He is also a member of the Australian Computer Society, the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the Australian Institute of Project Management.
