Daniel specialises in governance consulting for enterprising families, family offices and high-net-worth individuals, helping them manage change and complexity within their family and business systems. By providing clear frameworks and structures, he aims to understand their objectives and definitions of success, enabling families to co-create effective plans for the future governance of their business or family office. This includes decision-making, investment and communication frameworks to enhance clarity, transparency, and accountability.
He has worked in the Business Families sector for more than 16 years, in Australia, the UK and Canada. In addition to his current role as National Lead for Family Dynamics & Governance with KPMG Australia he is also a steering member of the Global Centre of Excellence for Family Business. Recently, he was recognised within Family Capital’s Global Top 50 Family Enterprise Advisors.
He holds several prominent national and international industry positions, contributing to various associations, committees and faculties. Daniel continues to produce whitepapers and reports and has spoken at global and national conferences, events and on several industry podcasts.
With experience working with families across Australia, Europe, and North America, Daniel has witnessed the growth and development of the business families sector in both professional practice and academia. He focuses on leveraging the relationship between research and practical application through his involvement with STEP and the STEP Project Global Consortium (SPGC).
