      Kristie Schubert is a Partner in KPMG Law's Tax Dispute Resolution & Controversy practice. Drawing on decades of experience across Australia and the United Kingdom, Kristie is recognised for her strategic, practical and commercially focused approach to resolving complex tax disputes.

      Kristie brings a distinctive perspective to tax controversy matters, having worked across government, private practice and industry throughout her career. She previously served as a Senior Litigator at the Australian Taxation Office, where she regularly appeared before Tribunals and Courts on behalf of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners of Taxation. She has also held an in-house counsel role with a multinational organisation, managing their tax disputes and litigation across the Asia-Pacific region.

      Having worked from the perspectives of the revenue authority, adviser and taxpayer, Kristie offers a unique understanding of the drivers, challenges and opportunities that arise throughout the dispute lifecycle.

      She helps clients navigate audits, reviews, objections, settlements and litigation, combining deep technical expertise with a practical understanding of how tax controversies are approached by regulators, advisers and taxpayers alike.
