As a Senior Manager in KPMG Australia’s technical financial reporting group, Ryan assists entities and KPMG engagement teams with identifying and resolving application issues for a wide range of financial reporting topics and complex accounting issues.
Ryan supports KPMG engagement teams to understand mandatory climate-related disclosure obligations and related disclosure requirements. He has deep knowledge in the developments in sustainability reporting both at the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) level, and the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS) level.
While Ryan works across all reporting subject matters, his main focus areas are sustainability reporting, revenue recognition and impairment of non-financial assets. He regularly presents to internal and external audiences on emerging accounting and sustainability issues.
In 2014, Ryan joined KPMG Sydney's audit practice, where he specialised in the services and consumer sectors. Ryan joined KPMG Australia's technical financial reporting group in 2023.
