Global

KPMG is a global network of professional services firms whose main thrust is to provide Audit, Tax and Advisory services to various sectors across the globe. The firm has offices in over 715 cities in 153 countries in the world. The firm operates in three main regions i.e. Americas, Europe Middle East Africa (EMA) and Asia Pacific (ASPAC) employing over 155 000 people across these regions. For over a hundred years, KPMG has provided high quality services to all its clients. The firm is acknowledged as a leader in all its services with a global strategy that allows the firm to work with all its clients wherever the client may choose to operate.

 

Regional

KPMG member firms’ aim is to turn understanding of information, industries, and business trends into value. Constantly striving to be better lies at the heart of what makes the firm different. KPMG International is a Swiss cooperative. Member firms of the KPMG network of independent firms are affiliated with KPMG International. KPMG International provides no client services rather it is more of a body designed to monitor and cushion coherence among member firms. However, no member firm has any authority to obligate or bind KPMG International or any member firm with regards to neither 3rd parties nor does KPMG International have any such authority to obligate or bind any member firm. KPMG International has its headquarters in Amsterdam in Netherlands and is obligated mainly to the following key roles:

  • Establishing global quality performance review procedures.
  • Establishing global risk management and quality control policies and procedures.
  • Establishing KPMG global risk management and quality control structures.
  • Monitoring and enforcing global compliance with policies and procedures

 

Zimbabwe

KPMG Zimbabwe falls under the EMA region, which is part of the three regions in which KPMG operates in. The Zimbabwean office was founded in 1949 and it has only one office which is situated in Harare. The office serves both local and international clients depending on the location and size of the client.

The firm is currently headed by six (6) partners, these partners share and rotate responsibilities and their work is evaluated annually by KPMG International. The current staff of KPMG Zimbabwe is over one hundred and fifty (150) people. The partners and staff are all geared towards serving clients, understanding the environment, backed with international knowledge and access to the global KPMG network.
