Nga studied law in Hanoi, joined KPMG Tax after KPMG acquired Andersen practice in 2002. She was admitted to partnership in 2009, as one of the first youngest and female partners. She is also one of the founding partners of KPMG in Vietnam. She has recently been promoted as National Head of Corporate Tax.
She has been involved and led a tax team in advising clients on tax, investment and regulatory issues, including tax due-diligence, mergers and acquisition, divestments and corporate restructures, and investigations and audits by the local tax authority. She has also represented clients in negotiations with the local tax authorities on resolving the tax disputes by petitions to the central tax authorities and ministry level for favorable and practical guidance.
Nga has extensive experiences in refinery industry, ranging from taxation advice on financing structure, providing tax planning advice on corporate strategies and structures, reviewing various agreements to identify tax issues and recommend the best optimal tax structure, providing various advices on tax incentives, and liaising with the policy makers on the Government directions with regard to various tax and incentives issues.
Nga was the tax engagement partner of the tax audit support services of various Vietnamese corporations and foreign companies in different industries, such as securities, banking, insurance, management fund, technology, commercial products, industrial products, e-commerce, logistics, manufacturing, garment, retail sector, etc.
