Data Platform Consultant (Technical)

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our data team. This role is ideal for students who have recently graduated and are eager to start their career working with modern data systems, cloud platforms, and large-scale data processing.

As a Junior Data Engineer, you will help build, maintain, and optimize pipelines that enable the company to use data effectively for analytics, reporting, and machine learning.

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data 
• Support integration of data from various internal and external sources 
• Work with senior engineers to build and optimize data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms 
• Write clean, efficient code for data transformation using SQL, Python, or Scala 
• Monitor data pipelines to ensure high reliability, quality, and performance 
• Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and software engineers 
• Help document data processes, metadata, and workflows 
• Support data quality checks and validation processes 
• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field 
• Knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, filtering, etc.) 
• Basic programming experience in Python or Scala 
• Understanding of database concepts (relational & NoSQL) 
• Familiarity with data pipeline concepts (ETL, batch, streaming) 
• Knowledge of at least one cloud or big data ecosystem (nice-to-have): 
  • AWS (Glue, Redshift, S3)
  • Azure (Data Factory, Synapse)
  • GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow)
  • Databricks / Spark
• Understanding of version control using Git

• Experience with Apache Spark or Hadoop ecosystem
• Exposure to Airflow, Kafka, or similar tools
• Basic understanding of data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
• Internships or academic projects related to data engineering or data analytics
• Knowledge of Docker or CI/CD concepts
