      Jacques joined KPMG in the British Virgin Islands in 2008, having previously worked in the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg and South Africa. Jacques has a wide range of audit experience, initially mainly in consumer markets, before working solely in Financial Services. Jacques further leads the regulatory compliance department in the British Virgin Islands and routinely assists licensed entities understand and comply with their regulatory requirements.

      1. Areas of expertise

        While the majority of Jacques audit experience has been in the role of an external auditor, he has overseen the testing and assessment of internal audit functions in highly regulated financial and governmental organizations and has guided a multi-national firm through the re-organization and implementation of a global internal audit programme.

        External audit services to financial services entities and their providers. This includes banks, trust and company management entities, a wide variety of asset management vehicles, law firms, SPV’s and holding company structures.

        Regulatory compliance advisory services to regulated and un-regulated businesses in the BVI.

        Assessments and testing of internal audit functions of BVI regulated entities (from the perspective of an external auditor).
