KPMG in Ukraine supports "Earth Hour"
KPMG in Ukraine encourages its customers and partners to support the worldwide campaign "Earth Hour 2014". Individuals, businesses, governments and communities are invited to turn off their lights for one hour on Saturday March 29, 2014 at 20:30 – 21:30 to show their support of "Earth Hour" the most prominent "green" initiative in our history.
Earth Hour is a global initiative in partnership with WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature). Now in its seventh year, the annual lights out event has grown from a single-city initiative in 2007 to become the world’s largest display of environmental action, with citizens of 152 countries and territories across every continent coming together for Earth Hour 2012 indicating a growing global movement of positive change in environmental attitudes. This year WWF offers everyone to do something more than just turning off the light. WWF launched an online campaign for you to be able to register environmental problems of the region and resolve them together with the whole Ukraine. Now you can simply mark the environmental problem at www.ecomap.org or vote for other issues which have been already registered, if you believe that they are essential and urgent to address. WWF team will participate in resolving 5 major problems according to the results of the voting.
