Illya has recently joined KPMG and is responsible for expanding KPGM M&A advisory practice in Ukraine.
Illya has over 13 years of corporate finance and investment banking experience having previously worked at Unicredit Group, Troika Dialog, EY and Deloitte, and 1+1 Media Group. During his career, Illya has focused on buy- and sell-side M&A advisory, private equity fundraising and equity capital market engagements in Ukraine and CEE. Illya is also an expert in public-private partnerships who worked on feasibility studies and transaction advisory for PPP projects in Ukraine, Armenia and Kazakhstan. In addition, Illya has complimentary experience of valuation advisory, pre-deal business structuring and bad debt restructuring. Illya has done multiple complex in-house and consulting projects across a wide range of industries, especially in energy, infrastructure, agri, real estate, non-food retail, banking, pharma and media industries.
Illya has clear understanding of investors’ thinking and expectations. He knows what investors are looking for and how to help company prepare and best present its strengths as well as mitigate potential weaknesses. He is also well aware of typical risks of investing in Ukrainian businesses and able to help investors see true value of a potential acquisition target. Illya is ready to steer sellers and buyers through the intricacies of both cross-border or domestic M&A transactions, from developing M&A strategy to deal signing and closing. He is always focused on providing seamless execution and delivering best value for a client on any side of the deal.
