In terms of financial reporting, users of financial statements want to understand how climate-related matters impact companies, including business models, cash flows, financial position, financial performance and the impact on the company’s long-term prospects.

ในปีที่ผ่าน ๆ มา หลายประเทศได้เห็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ชัดเจนในจำนวนองค์กรที่มีการรายงานเรื่องของความยั่งยืน ซึ่งนอกจากเป็นสาเหตุมาจากกฎข้อบังคับใหม่ ๆ แล้ว ยังเป็นเพราะความเข้าใจที่มากขึ้นในแง่ผลกระทบของ ESG ที่ส่งผลต่อผลประกอบการทางการเงินและมูลค่าขององค์กร
