The MLI and its impact on Thailand’s tax treaties

You are cordially invited to attend KPMG’s tax webinar on

“The MLI and its impact on Thailand’s tax treaties”

On 9 February 2022, Thailand became the 98th jurisdiction to sign the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related Measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (MLI). It will be important for Thai and foreign companies to understand the impact of the MLI on Thailand’s tax treaties – particularly when the MLI will come into play and whether treaty benefits can be sustained in light of the operation of the MLI.

Join us on 11 May 2022 to get a better understanding and practical insights on how the MLI will impact Thailand’s tax treaties and how your organization can be prepared for this forthcoming change in respect of existing and future cross-border arrangements and transactions.

The discussion points will be:

  • Introduction to the MLI
  • Current state of play
  • Impact on the Thai tax landscape and key questions to consider
  • Practical examples of how Thailand’s MLI position could affect Thai and foreign MNCs
  • Regional views and approaches
  • Q&A session
