Webinar | 28 April 2022 | 13.30 - 15.00
You are invited to join KPMG’s tax webinar on ‘Current tax audit trends’
Many business sectors have been affected by the spread of COVID-19 since 2020 until now. Although tax authorities foresee a reduction in tax collection for the financial year 2021, internal technology has continuously been developed to provide comprehensive and accurate audit of tax payments by taxpayers. This has led to the increased number of discoveries of non-compliance in tax affairs which resulted in an increase in tax audit cases raised by the tax authorities. Therefore, understanding tax audit guidelines and tax issues in which tax authorities adhere to is crucial for taxpayers to prevent, manage, and find solutions to investigations raised by the tax authorities.
This seminar will help you understand the types of and guidelines for tax audits raised by tax authorities, as well as insights on how to cope with tax scrutiny on various tax issues. The discussion topics will be as follows:
- The current trends for tax collection by tax authorities
- Tax refund policy of the Revenue Department during COVID-19
- Criteria for various types of tax audit and the dispute resolution process with the Revenue Department
- Sharing interesting case studies by KPMG in Thailand covering tax matters under the Revenue Code and Customs duty
- Current tax dispute resolution options
There will also be a Q&A session.
