As the complexity of technology continues to rise, the protection and use of personal data are now a critical business requirement. The EU Global Data Protection Requirement (GDPR) which imposes a serious penalty up to Euro 20 million become effective on 25 May 2018. This affects not just only European organizations but also applies to organizations related to EU. With the new requirements, organizations need to ensure effective compliance and re-consider the data privacy as the critical enterprise risks. KPMG would like to invite the Audit Committee to join the discussion and exchange ideas on such matters, including keeping the organizations up to date with GDPR and its requirements.
