Effective tax management is about managing tax risk while optimizing tax affairs in a sustainable environment. KPMG’s Global Compliance Management Services is a global network through which we deploy our people, processes and technology to help our clients with their worldwide tax compliance obligations, providing them with the information they require to take vital commercial decisions promptly. 

We are seeking Tax Manager to lead a team of specialists to work on various compliance projects with KPMG. You’ll join a high performing team advising on a broad range of clients from early-stage start-ups, successful privately owned businesses, and some of the world’s largest and most complex organisations.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing the tax relationship across a diverse portfolio of clients which will provide you a broad range of technical experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams on various client engagements in developing tax solutions, tax planning and strategies for national and multinational companies.
  • Review tax returns and conduct the following tasks - compliance and reporting, tax management and risk, and control assessment.
  • Conduct research and consult with team members on various tax matters.
  • Establish positive relationships, work closely and liaise with clients and various government agencies.
  • Manage diverse team members and maintain a high-performing team to deliver exceptional client services
  • Ensuring that clients are kept up to date on developments within the corporate tax world that may affect their businesses.
  • Managing proposals for new work, including delivering tender documents, presenting at client pitches, and identifying solutions for client issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in the domain of Accounting / Tax / Law or other related domains.
  • Hands on experience of 6-12 years in Thai Tax domain.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills in Thai & English.
  • Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude that translates across the team
  • Displays an inclusive, collaborative approach and operates in a respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider community
  • Brings insight and effectively applies knowledge to business and client problems
