Job Description

KPMG’s Customs group is a tax practice within the Indirect Tax division that develops  and helps implement customs and international trade services for clients in a variety of industries, including the pharmaceutical, textile, automotive, electronics,  food/retail distribution and global manufacturing industries. In delivering these trade and customs services, KPMG’s professionals endeavor to add value to clients’ businesses by focusing on duty savings and customs compliance initiatives to facilitate bottom-line cash savings, reduce potential exposure from customs compliance violations, and improve operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistances to managers in handling client’s assignments
  • Review tariff classification, customs valuation, customs and BOI formalities and compliance, customs privileges compliance, import tax planning and excise tax compliance
  • Conduct a research on local and international trade laws and regulations that may have an impact to the client
  • Communicate with trade & customs-related government authorities in order to facilitate clients’ work
  • Prepare documents by using appropriate business terms and technical language.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Legal, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
  • 2-6 years of working experience in customs, logistics, export & import or international trade field.
  • Strong communication and presentation capability with ability to compromise and negotiation.
  • Good command of English
  • Computer literacy especially Microsoft Office
