Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced English Editor to join the KPMG Deal Advisory team. As an English Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all client-facing documents meet professional, industry standards of English and the KPMG editorial style guide. In addition, you will work closely with our staff to support the development of their English language skills, primarily written skills, to enhance the overall quality of their English language output over time.
Roles and responsibilities
- Edit client-facing documents including reports, proposals, memos, briefs, and other documents to meet professional, industry standards of English and the KPMG editorial style guide
- Cooperate with staff, through written feedback and learning interventions, to support development of their English language skills
- Work closely with our senior professionals to provide advice on the structure and content of reports and presentations, ensuring that they are accurate, clear, and concise
- Ensure that all documents are delivered on time and to a high standard of quality
- Organize relevant trainings for staff
- Review templates of engagement letters, proposals, credentials and CVs and maintain a database of edited templates
- Track progress and conduct necessary follow-up
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in editing, preferably in a consulting or professional services firm
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax
- Ability to work effectively with others and provide constructive feedback
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
