European Union funds

EU funds are an important part of the EU's investment policy, which aims to reduce economic and social disparities between Member States and regions. EU grants and funds are a good solution if your company is planning to innovate its activities, preparing for a major investment in improving its operations, or wanting to become more modern, competitive, energy-efficient or environmentally friendly.

In the current programming period, eligible entities in Slovakia can benefit from almost €25 billion earmarked for post-COVID-19 recovery projects and long-term EU priorities across a range of policy areas.

The EU will provide funding mainly through:

• The Recovery Plan (€6 billion until 2026),
• European Structural and Investment Funds - ESIF (€13 billion until 2029),
• Common Agricultural Policy (€5 billion until 2029),
• the Just Transition Fund (€459 million until 2029).

• Monitoring funding opportunities and preparing support schemes
• Screening of project plans
• Evaluating project parameters in relation to the likelihood of success of a potential grant application

• Coordination with agencies administering grant schemes
• Completion of the application form and its annexes (in liaison with the applicant, if necessary)
• Identifying the most important success factors and common pitfalls when applying for a grant
• Preparation of required expert documents and specific materials

•  Setting the framework for operational project implementation and financial management
• Setting up monitoring, reporting to the grant agency and project management (milestones, payment requests and disbursements, distribution of funding, etc.).

• Ongoing assessment of the status and quality of the project's contractual performance in relation to the requirements of the granting agency/funding program. This phase also includes preparation for inspections and audits related to the implementation of the project during its duration and reporting.
