      The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has published a draft Zakat and Tax Procedural Law for public consultation. The draft aims to unify and facilitate provisions for Zakat and different tax types; specify the rights and obligations of both ZATCA and the Zakat-payer/taxpayer; promote transparency, clarity, and voluntary compliance; as well as align with international developments and best practices. The due date to submit comments and feedback on the draft through the public consultation platform (Istitlaa) is 25 December 2023.
