      The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has published a draft implementing regulation for Zakat collection for public consultation. The draft aims to explain the provisions for Zakat collection in the Kingdom and to clarify the obligations of Zakat payers and the authority in this regard, in order to fulfil the application of Zakat and raise levels of commitment to it. It also introduces changes to current Zakat applications, with the aim of improving them as well as Zakat’s legislative landscape. The due date to submit comments and feedback on the draft through the public consultation platform Istitlaa is 17 October 2023.
