The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has published a draft Zakat and Tax Procedural Law for public consultation. The draft aims to unify and facilitate provisions for Zakat and different tax types; specify the rights and obligations of both ZATCA and the Zakat-payer/taxpayer; promote transparency, clarity, and voluntary compliance; as well as align with international developments and best practices. The due date to submit comments and feedback on the draft through the public consultation platform (Istitlaa) is 25 December 2023.

The proposed draft can be accessed on Istitlaa through this link.
