We believe that business plays an important role in all aspects of sustainability – environmental, social and governance commitments. We encourage our team to use their skills, experience and knowledge to lead and participate in a variety of initiatives that address key social and environmental issues.

The most important areas of ESG at KPMG: people, prosperity, planet and governance.

People

We make sure that our most important asset, our employees, feel well, both physically and mentally. We also encourage our employees to take the initiative in solving social and environmental issues. KPMG's policy is that all employees have the opportunity to use three paid days a year for community service.

Prosperity

It is important for us to share our knowledge and thus contribute to society. Our employees give lectures at several Latvian universities, as well as conduct seminars and trainings for business organizators.

Planet

KPMG Global is committed to becoming a Net Zero business by 2030. We work with our clients, suppliers and colleagues to drive real and sustainable environmental change. For example, we significantly reduced the carbon footprint of our supply chain, and have abandoned single-use plastics.

Governance

We act according to law, ethically and in the public interest. We work against corruption in all its forms. KPMG in Latvia is an active member of the Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia (FICIL) and the Baltic Institute of Corporate Governance (BICG).
