The success of our business and communities does not solely depend on the outcomes we deliver, but also on the ways we work—together. This means acting responsibly for the planet, for people, and for greater prosperity. You can read how we make a difference in these three key areas in this impact report.
But while we celebrate progress made, we acknowledge areas with room for improvement, and have set goals for the years ahead. That’s why you’ll also find details of our future plans, including ambitious targets for the planet.

Planet
11% reduction in GHG emissions (TCO2) since 2016
Carbon neutral by the end of 2021
Net zero by 2030
The environmentally conscious mindset at KPMG Luxembourg started from the ground up, literally. The KPMG building on 39 Avenue John F. Kennedy was built for its ecological impact and long-term biodiversity. From these very roots it has sprouted into the use of 100% renewable energy, waste reduction programs for employees, and reducing our GHG emissions annually. It continues to find ways to grow, namely, through KPMG Global network’s ambitious plan to reach net-zero emissions by 2030. We look forward to taking the steps necessary to achieve this target and are already well on our way to the first milestone. We are proud to announce we will be a carbon neutral organization by the end of 2021.
Everyone has a role to play in combatting the effects of climate change, and here at KPMG we are steadfast in our desire to make a lasting impact.
