Until now, KPMG Baltics had two partners, both from the Audit department – Domantas Dabulis and Rokas Kasperavičius. The latter says that in 20 years at KPMG Baltics Ms Petrauskaitė has become an irreplaceable part of the team. 

“During this time, Birutė acquired unique expertise of rendering services to clients of financial, real estate, construction, telecommunications, energy and trade sectors. Under her leadership, the firm’s Tax department team has become a key component of the company,” says Mr Kasperavičius.

According to Ms Petrauskaitė, the new generation of KPMG tax experts stands out in terms of a wide range of knowledge and versatility. 

“The current team of tax advisors has the potential to provide professional, high-quality services from company restructuring, international taxation to direct and indirect taxes. They are specialists of extensive expertise with a major contribution to the company’s competitiveness,” says Ms Petrauskaitė.

The new KPMG partner notes that in the modern business environment companies struggle to control large tax information flows, so the role of consultants and tax specialists is becoming ever more important. 

Birutė Petrauskaitė is a certified auditor of Lithuania with a Master’s degree in Economics. She advises international and Lithuanian clients on tax issues, is an accredited lecturer of KPMG Global, a member of the Lithuanian Chamber of Auditors and a member of the tax working group of the association Investors’ Forum.
