At KPMG Baltics, a new tax partner was appointed as of October 1. The position was filled by Vita Šumskaitė, who has been working at the company for more than 20 years and has been the head of the tax department.

Vita Šumskaitė, who has been with KPMG since 2002, gained her expertise by advising clients on direct and indirect taxes, including VAT, corporate income tax, and international taxation, conducting tax audits, and managing tax due diligence projects for corporate acquisitions. She also represents companies in dealings with government institutions, resolving tax disputes, and handling tax refund matters.

According to the company's director, Rokas Kasperavičius, the newly appointed partner has not only gained valuable experience managing complex tax projects but has also actively fostered and strengthened the KPMG tax consulting team.

"We are delighted to have Vita join the partners' team. Her knowledge, accumulated over many years, her ability to analyze complex tax issues, and her strategic thinking will help further strengthen our company's market position and contribute to delivering top-level services to our clients," said the director.

In addition, Vita Šumskaitė is a member of the "Investors' Forum" association and has been nominated multiple times as one of the world's leading female tax consultants in the international tax review.

"Becoming a partner is a significant recognition. I aim to further strengthen the company's position by continuing to develop the tax experts' team and implementing innovative solutions that align with the ever-changing tax regulatory environment," said Šumskaitė.

Until now, "KPMG Baltics" had four partners: Rokas Kasperavičius, Domantas Dabulis, Tomas Jensen, and Edvinas Žukauskas.
