Wissam Safwan is the Regional Managing Partner – Lebanon at KPMG Middle East and leads the firm’s Audit practice in Lebanon, a role he has held continuously, including prior to his appointment as Regional Managing Partner. With more than 23 years of audit experience, Wissam has led and overseen complex audit engagements across a wide range of industries for both local and global clients. His experience includes planning and executing audits in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and providing extensive expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), supporting multinational organizations with technical accounting matters and complex financial reporting requirements. Wissam has played a pivotal role in the transformation and growth of the Audit function in Lebanon, establishing the foundations for all globally mandated quality initiatives and strengthening the practice from both leadership and technical perspectives.
